Lincan Ensemble

The Lincan Ensemble was founded in the Netherlands in 2003 at the initiative of the musician Giani Lincan.

It is a band composed of professional musicians. A band that set up various musical projects such as East European gypsy music, Gypsy jazz, and classical music from various composers in Eastern Europe. A band that performs each time in different formats, such as a trio, quartet, quintet or full orchestra. The actual orchestra consists of two violins, viola, cello, piano, cimbalom and double bass.

Since 2003, the Lincan Ensemble has earned its reputation as a professional orchestra performing at the world’s most renowned concert halls and festival around the world: Concertgebouw in the Netherlands, De Doelen in the Netherlands, Anton Phillips hall in the Netherlands, Sziget festival in Hungary, Romanian Athenaeum, Heineken festival in Malaysia, Franz Liszt academy in Hungary, Porgy Bess festival Austria, etc.

The Ensemble has shared the stage with great legends of the music world, including Richard Galliano, Stochelo Rosenberg, Roby Lakatos, Stian Carstensen, Birelli Lagrene, Tchavolo Smith, etc. Lincan Ensemble also is frequently invited to various TV entertainment shows in Romania and in other countries.

The repertoire of our orchestra includes various music styles such as classical music, Balkan Gypsy music and our own compositions. The Lincan Ensemble has a rich repertoire.

Musicians of this ensemble easily move from one style of music to another.

From the Romanian music to the jazz or classical music, or from the Hungarian music to the Viennese opera music.

Live in concert, the musicians expose facets of virtuosity, lyrical songs, archaic and melancholy songs.

The instrumental soloists exchanges and expose different themes of music in a spectacular way.

Unique moments with spectacular cimbalom solo where the public is fascinated by the sound of the cimbalom or the speed with which the hammers hit the strings of the cimbalom. With their wide-ranging repertoire and their exceptional arrangements, they appeal to music lovers of all genres.

In fact, Lincan Ensemble guarantees 100% success for their concerts.
